About Me
I have over 20 years of experience and am always striving to learn and grow as an individual and as a practitioner. Over my years in the field, I have had the honour of working in a variety of roles and settings. This has not only increased my awareness of the various challenges people face but also the tremendous resilience people have.
I am committed to providing a supportive environment where individuals can feel safe, understood, and able to explore their experiences without fear of judgement.
I have a Master of Social Work degree and am in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, as well as the Ontario Association of Social Workers.
Why work with me
Life provides us with such a tremendous wealth of experiences. Some of them are positive, joyful, and affirming, while others create uncertainty, distress, and isolation - not to mention a variety of experiences that fall somewhere in between. During the more challenging times we can often feel alone, misunderstood, and unable to see the possibility of things improving. It is not because of some inherent flaw or weakness within us, despite our thoughts trying to convince us of this. It is part of being human. We may not always understand what led us here or how to change things but what we do know is we want things to be different.
I can support you in your journey and help you learn to navigate the challenges you are facing so you can live a more rich and meaningful life. Providing both a space to process your experiences while also teaching you tools and strategies so you can feel confident in your ability to make meaningful change.
